Violet skies over the valley: a timelapse worth keeping

The clip embedded in this article is a plain video file — the easiest case.

News sites and blogs often embed videos as direct MP4/WebM files. When the page plays one, Clipmoth sees the file itself — nothing else needed.

LESSON 1 — NEWS SITES & BLOGS

Direct video files: the easiest save

  1. Press play on the article video.
  2. The Clipmoth icon in your toolbar shows a badge: 1.
  3. Open Clipmoth (toolbar icon or side panel), then hit Save. Check Downloads/Clipmoth.
Expected badge: 1 Expected item: MP4 · ~0.5 MB

No badge? Make sure the video is actually playing, then reopen the popup. Detection starts with playback.
